Birds, animals and hands-on science fill Fernbank’s November calendar

Curiosity has a place on the November calendar at Fernbank Museum. A beginner birding workshop on Saturday, November 7, will introduce visitors to birds of the Georgia Piedmont before a walk through WildWoods. The 10:30 a.m.–noon program is offered with Birds Georgia and costs $10 for members or $20 for nonmembers. Children younger than 16 must attend with an adult. A week later, Adventures in Science runs November 14 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., with experiments and activities around the museum included with general admission. These programs offer two different starting points for exploration: looking closely at the living world outdoors and trying scientific activities indoors.
