Young athletes can get moving with Lee’s Summit indoor sports

A new round of indoor recreation in Lee’s Summit gives young children a chance to practice their first passes, kicks and shots this November.
Parks and Recreation lists Itty Bitty and Pee Wee programs beginning November 14 at Harris Park Community Center, with sessions running through December 12. Offerings include soccer, T-ball, football and basketball, with activities organized by age.
For soccer, children ages 3–4 are listed for 8:30–9:15 a.m.; the ages 5–6 group meets from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. These are skill-building programs, not school-team games or spectator tournaments.
Families should use the city’s registration links to confirm openings, fees and their chosen class time. It is an opportunity for the next generation of local athletes to start learning the games.
