Jasper County’s upcoming arts calendar includes school music opportunities and theatre performances in Carthage and Joplin. All times below are local.
• November 3: High School District Band/Jazz Band Auditions at Carthage High School. Time not listed.
• November 12: Southern Sing Treble Choir Day at Missouri Southern State University, 9:30 a.m.–2 p.m.
• November 17: Seventh- and eighth-grade Honor Band Auditions at Joplin High School. Time not listed.
• November 19–21: Carthage High School Theatre’s The Addams Family at R-9 Auditorium. November 19 and 20 performances begin at 7 p.m.; November 21 performances begin at 2 and 7 p.m.
• December 10–13: I’ll Be Home for Christmas at Joplin Little Theatre, 3009 W. First St. December 10–12 performances begin at 7:30 p.m.; December 13’s performance begins at 2:30 p.m.
