Miniature trains and a community yard sale put November 7 on the Rockdale calendar

Rockdale residents have a pair of reasons to get out into the community on Saturday, November 7. The county Parks and Recreation yard sale is scheduled for 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 1400 Parker Road. Later, North Georgia Live Steamers plans public train rides at the Georgia International Horse Park, with trains operating from 1 p.m. until the last ride at 4:30 p.m. Rides cost $3 per person. The miniature outdoor railroad offers a different way to spend a fall afternoon, though wet weather can cancel a run day. Both activities appear on the Conyers visitors bureau calendar; check its updates before setting out.
