Shawnee State Theatre brings musical comedy to Portsmouth with Forever Plaid
Published October 31, 2026 at 5:00 PM EDT
Portsmouth theatre audiences have three evenings to catch Shawnee State Theatre’s production of Forever Plaid this November.
The musical comedy is scheduled for November 12, 13 and 14, with each performance beginning at 7:30 p.m. in the Eloise Covert Smith Theater at the Vern Riffe Center for the Arts.
The show follows four young singers who return from the afterlife for one final performance. Its fanciful premise sets the stage for a musical night out on the Shawnee State University campus.
The production gives local audiences a chance to make university theatre part of their November plans. Seating and ticket information are available from the McKinley Box Office at 740-351-3600 or through the venue’s official event page.
